The A.J. Brown storyline is something that doesn't seem to be ending anytime soon for the Philadelphia Eagles fan base.

Brown is likely to be traded to the New England Patriots in the next few days, but there could be complications. The Patriots are reportedly hesitant to move away from a first-round pick to get Brown, which might result in the deal being blown up.

If that happens, the Eagles will need a backup option. Lucky for them, they have a few to pick from.

Trade A.J. Brown to the Kansas City Chiefs

The Eagles have had a good relationship with the Chiefs over the years, especially since Kansas City's head coach Andy Reid was a longtime coach in Philly. Kansas City has some massive concerns at wide receiver with Rashee Rice going through some legal trouble off the field.

This is where the Eagles could take advantage of the situation and give them Brown as an option. Philly might be able to get a first-round pick for him since the Chiefs are desperate to get back to the Super Bowl, and Brown would be able to do that as a number one target for Patrick Mahomes.

Take advantage of the Jacksonville Jaguars and get a pick plus Brian Thomas Jr.

Jacksonville got a taste of success last year by making it to the postseason, so they could be trying to go all-in on making the Super Bowl in 2026. The Jaguars are one or two pieces away from getting there and need a difference-maker on offense to help with that.

If this option comes up, the Eagles might have to surrender the first-round pick idea and instead get a second-round pick and young wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. Honestly, it's not a bad deal for the Eagles that they should consider.

Don't even trade A.J. Brown at all

Financially, they already have the money lined up for 2026, so if they can't get the deal they want, they might as well keep him in 2026. Letting Brown stay might not make him the happiest man, but it would make that offense so much more dangerous.

It would no doubt mean that Elijah Moore probably gets cut, but the rest of the new receivers would complement Brown well with Hollywood's speed, Wicks' height, and Lemon's all-around talent. Smith and Brown have been a great combo for so long, so why not get the band back together for one more year and play it out?
