It would make sense.

Pro Days are happening all over the country this week, with the Philadelphia Eagles making sure they have representatives at as many of them as possible.

One of the biggest ones that occurred was the Miami Hurricanes, which features multiple players who could end up being first-round picks. It might be a school that the Eagles might have some interest in, as they had some top talent on the roster from a season ago.

247Sports reporter Gaby Urrutia shared that Eagles defensive line coach and associate head coach Clint Hurtt was seen at Miami's Pro Day. Hurtt has been heavily involved this offseason with the 2026 NFL Draft, as he was the head coach in the Senior Bowl earlier in the calendar year.

Clint Hurtt's appearance at Miami Pro Day shows who Eagles want

The Eagles took a hit this offseason at edge rusher, as they lost their top guy, Jaelan Phillips, leaving a massive hole to fill. They have Jalyx Hunt and Nolan Smith Jr. still there to start, but they did not make the same kind of impact as pass rushers that Phillips did.

That should leave Eagles fans to assume that the team is most likely looking at Miami edge rushers Akheem Mesidor and Rueben Bain Jr. as potential top picks. Mesidor had 12.5 sacks last season to lead the Hurricanes, with Bain coming in second with 9.5.

At the Pro Day, Bain had quite the showcase with his blazing speed being on full display for NFL teams. Mesidor and Bain look like guys who are going to be great draft picks for whoever picks them in the upcoming draft.

The Eagles have other positions to consider on the roster, like safety, offensive line, and wide receiver, but landing Mesidor or Bain in the draft would be a massive win for the team.
