While last season was not the best season for Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley, everyone knows how good he can be and how special his 2024 season was.

Barkley rolls into the 2026 season with a lot of questions about what kind of player the Eagles are going to get as he tries to bounce back. He's on an offense with a lot of talent, but the team just needs to know who that talent will be facing each week in the new year.

The NFL confirmed that the Eagles will play the Jacksonville Jaguars in London during Week 5 of the 2026 season. They will face off in Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at 9:30 am EST on October 11.

Saquon Barkley will be ready for his encore performance from two years ago

This will actually be the second time the Eagles and Jaguars have faced off in London, as Philly beat them 24-18 back in 2018. It's also been two years since the two teams have played each other, and it's one Jacksonville would like to forget, and Barkley would like to copy.

Back in 2024, the Jaguars came to Philly to play the Eagles and nearly beat the eventual Super Bowl champions, but the Eagles held on for the 28-23 win. Barkley had one of the best games of the season as he rushed for 159 yards and a touchdown while also going for 40 receiving yards and one additional touchdown.

The moment everyone might remember most from that game was Barkley performing a backward hurdle over a Jaguars defender. That iconic moment ended up on the cover of the Madden 26 video game and has been replayed time and time again over the years as one of the best plays the NFL has seen in a long time.

After the struggles of 2025, Barkley would love another opportunity to play for the Jaguars and replicate the kind of performance he had in 2024. It might be what the Eagles need to win the game.
