Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni and the rest of the sports world saw the Seattle Seahawks take down the New England Patriots 29-13 in Super Bowl LX.

It was an easy win for the Seahawks as they took a 19-0 lead in the fourth quarter, all thanks to the defense. Seattle's defensive unit finished with six sacks, three turnovers, one touchdown, and three quarters of zero points being allowed.

While there are many lessons the Eagles and Sirianni can learn from this game, there is one common one Philly has learned over the last two decades. It's one that might have to be learned the hard way in 2026.

Nick Sirianni must make sure Eagles' offensive line stays in good shape in 2026

Patriots quarterback Drake Maye and Seahawks signal-caller Sam Darnold were both harassed all game long by both defenses. Maye took way more hits, but Darnold was pressured more than he ever has been in his career.

That's an important fact for Sirianni to learn, as this offseason could bring massive changes to the offensive line. It's already happened with offensive line coach and run game coordinator Jeff Stoutland leaving the franchise after 13 years. There are also lingering concerns about Lane Johnson and Landon Dickerson possibly retiring this offseason.

This was an offensive line a season ago that struggled to open up the running game, as they were 18th in the NFL in rushing, averaging 116.9 yards per game. Dickerson and center Cam Jurgens played hurt all season, and Johnson missed the last eight games of the season with a foot injury.

Sirianni is facing significant pressure to find the right offensive line coach and ensure the Eagles don't take a step back. Another part is that if Johnson, Dickerson, or both retire, Philly finds replacements quickly and ensures they are sustainable for years. Even if neither guy ends up retiring, make sure the future is set behind them, and depth is there in case it goes south for Philly.

It's an offseason of significant change for the Eagles, with Sean Mannion taking over the offense and an offensive coaching staff being completely overhauled. Regardless of how the coaching staff looks, the Eagles need to make sure the offensive line is set, or a major setback could result in job losses after the 2026 campaign.
