Nick Sirianni's recent remark certainly felt more like subtle jab at A.J. Brown

We know what you were saying sir.

Of course, everyone has been talking about the Philadelphia Eagles trading A.J. Brown away to the New England Patriots, but every fan is ready to just move on from it.

Members of the Eagles organization seemed to feel the same way, as left tackle Jordan Mailata put it best: "Thank god it's over." This could also serve as a lesson in the importance of being more of a team than an individual. That's because Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni made an interesting comment at the end of one of his recent press conferences as part of mandatory OTAs.

“To get to where we want to go, we need each other, and not in this sport, can we do it alone," Sirianni said. "If you want to do it alone, you got to pick another sport.”

Nick Sirianni certainly made that comment as if it were supposed to be directed at A.J. Brown

There have been many signs over the years that, while in Philly, Brown made selfish decisions and comments, even though his teammates have all gone to bat for him. His recent message to the Eagles on his Pro Bowl poster, "The best to ever play here. Always open," did not sit well with the fan base.

A lot of times with Brown, he was quick and loud to point the finger at everyone else, with accountability being held to them. Rarely did the media receive a response from Brown in which he took responsibility for something that went wrong during the game.

Sirianni has been big on building the right culture in Philly, one that is all about communication and accountability, which sometimes didn't seem to apply to Brown. With the star receiver out the door, things have changed for the better, and the drama is not in Philly anymore.

Maybe Sirianni's comment was a nothingburger, but it certainly didn't feel like one. That felt more like a warning shot to the team that if they want to be like Brown, they could be out the door as well.
