A new season is upon Philadelphia Eagles fans, with so many questions going into the 2026 campaign.
All three phases of the game have many questions and unknowns, since the team made changes after posting an 11-6 record last year. There is a lot of optimism that the Eagles will get back to the Super Bowl after a two-year absence, but that doesn't mean there are still some concerns about what kind of team this will be.
Most of the big questions surround the Eagles' offense after finishing in the bottom 15 in total offense, passing, rushing, and scoring. One specific aspect of the offense will receive the most attention at the team's OTAs, with a massive question that must be answered quickly.
Can Sean Mannion and Jalen Hurts work well together during the 2026 Eagles season?
Last season, Hurts and former Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo did not seem to mesh well at all. Patullo's play-calling was both imaginative and stale, which resulted in Hurts not playing as well as he could have in a different-looking offense.
Mannion is bringing a brand-new style to the Eagles' offense that promises to create a "mesh" of the old and the new. This Sean McVay/Kyle Shanahan-inspired offense will spread defenses out and push Hurts to limits he has never been at in his six-year NFL career.
The offseason storylines with Hurts have not been good, with sources calling him out for not being coachable and going renegade on play calls. There have been questions about him on the field, as he has not been as successful at throwing the ball downfield and has been unwilling to run the football as much as he did early in his career.
OTAs are going to show early on whether Hurts and Mannion can work together well and be the QB-OC combo Eagles fans have been waiting to see. It will also give Hurts a chance to prove that he can take in any kind of coaching that comes his way from Mannion.

The whole 2026 season hinges on Hurts and Mannion getting along and on the same page as signal-caller and play-caller. If there is any kind of disconnect between the two guys, the Eagles' chances of getting back into the Super Bowl for the third time in six years won't happen.
