The longer everyone looks at the 2026 Philadelphia Eagles schedule, the more it becomes obvious that they are at a major disadvantage.
This was supposed to be the 10th-easiest schedule in the NFL, but the Eagles have issues they will have to work through. From not having a bye week after the London game against the Jacksonville Jaguars to playing NFC East opponents three weeks in a row.
Bleeding Green Nation Eagles reporter Brandon Lee Gowton might have found something else that will make fans mad. Gowton noticed that four teams are going to be playing the Eagles coming off the bye weeks:
- Week 6 vs. Panthers (Eagles coming off London game vs. Jaguars)
- Week 8 at Commanders (Eagles coming off Week 7 Cowboys Monday Night Football game)
- Week 9 vs. Giants
- Week 14 vs. Colts
Eagles now have four teams coming off byes they have to face
From Week 6 through Week 9, the Eagles are going to be battling against all odds to try to beat the Panthers, Cowboys, Commanders, and Giants. That four-game stretch comes after the London game, as the Eagles have to try to survive it until the Week 10 bye week.
At least with the Week 14 Colts game, it won't be as bad for the Eagles, as they will at least be coming off what should be a very easy Arizona Cardinals game the week before. It's still a disadvantage for them, but it might be better for Philly physically.
There's always going to be some kind of disadvantage that comes with a schedule, but four teams coming off bye weeks, with fresh bodies and an extra week to prepare, is a tough ask for the Eagles. It just makes those games less winnable for them.
