Life is pretty good for a Philadelphia Eagles fan thanks to the organization that owner Jeffrey Lurie has built over the last three decades.

Since Lurie became the Eagles' owner, the team has been to four Super Bowls and won two, and has had 21 winning seasons since 1994. One aspect of Lurie's tenure that no one has talked about is: what would happen if something were to happen to Lurie?

Well, his son, Julian Lurie, has been heavily involved in the organization over the years as he prepares to potentially take over for his dad. The Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane spoke with a team source who spoke highly of Julian and his work.

“If I lived in Philadelphia and I was an Eagles fan, I would feel really good about him as a steward of the franchise in the future,” a team source told McLane. “I really do think he cares about the team and the city and the players.”

Eagles are in good hands with Julian Lurie

McLane's report adds that Julian Lurie has been credited for being "very smart and creative." Lurie was involved with his dad during the interview process for the offensive coordinator job before Sean Mannion was hired. Lurie has been credited with not always having the answers and being adaptable in the workplace.

This report should indicate to Eagles fans that the future looks bright in Philly when Lurie takes over for his dad. At a time when there is always negative press about the Eagles, it's refreshing to hear that they will be able to continue the franchise's success.

The hope is that the Eagles are still far from life without Jeffrey Lurie, but there is at least a good plan for the future. It's one thing to have a smart owner waiting after Lurie, but to have his son be humble and gracious will help keep the culture intact.

Eagles fans will have to wait and see how it works out with Julian Lurie, but he seems to be putting in the work and helping the franchise continue winning and bringing home Lombardi Trophies.
