Over the next few days, Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni and general manager Howie Roseman are going to be busy watching the future of the league on the field in Indianapolis, Indiana, for the NFL Combine.
Entering the offseason, Sirianni and Roseman knew they had multiple positions to address in the offseason, including wide receiver, cornerback, edge rusher, and offensive line. CBS Sports writer Josh Edwards shared one position that each of the 32 NFL teams needs going into the NFL Combine, with the Eagles needing a cornerback.
"It has been learned that right tackle Lane Johnson will return for a 14th season. There is a lot yet to be determined among this Eagles team: Will Landon Dickerson return, is A.J. Brown getting traded, will they retain edge rusher Jaelan Phillips? A cornerback opposite Quinyon Mitchell would allow Cooper DeJean to remain in the slot. Safety and edge rusher could be needs as well."
Should cornerback be the biggest need for the Eagles?
There are many arguments for multiple positions being the most important, and finding a CB2 is critical. Adoree' Jackson and Kelee Ringo did not live up to expectations there last year, despite Jackson having a nice close to the season, but it is something that has to be fixed either through free agency or the draft.
Offensive line seems to be the consensus number one choice for most people, as new mock drafts have been featuring the Eagles taking a tackle in the first round. This is to give Philly their future replacement for Johnson once he retires.
As for safety, it is only needed unless they don't get Reed Blankenship back. In that case, the Eagles would be smart to give C.J. Gardner-Johnson a call then instead of going with a safety in the draft, especially since they already have Andrew Mukuba back there after finishing his first NFL season.
Edge rusher is in the same position, depending on what happens with Jaelan Phillips. If the Eagles can't retain him, the choices become slim between trading for Maxx Crosby from the Las Vegas Raiders or with an edge rusher class so deep in the draft that selecting one would be a solid option.
Wide receiver is another one that really depends on Brown's situation and whether the team trades him. Regardless, one must be drafted, but if Brown stays, they can wait a round or two for one. If Brown gets traded, the first-round pick has to be used on a receiver.

For a team that won 11 games a season ago, the Eagles have a lot of positions to address, and it all depends on who comes back and who doesn't: that'll determine their draft strategy.
