The Philadelphia Eagles are in an interesting spot and have already made some sweeping offensive changes yet again. Oddly enough, the Eagles find Super Bowl-level success every other year and then go one-and-done in the playoffs the other years.

In 2021, 2023, and 2025, we've seen Philly stumble into the postseason and lose in the first round, but in 2022 and 2024, this team has reached the Super Bowl. Hopefully, 2026 is a Super Bowl year, but the team has to find simpler, more stable solutions on offense.

The great news is that Lane Johnson is officially set to return for another season, so let's dive into an Eagles mock draft with this news.

Philadelphia Eagles mock draft following major Lane Johnson news

23. Colton Hood, CB, Tennessee

Excelling in man coverage and being a sure tackler, Colton Hood really feels like an ideal Vic Fangio cornerback. Not only would this pick address a key need, but it could also be a 'best player available' situation.

Cornerback could also be addressed in free agency, as the entire secondary honestly had a bit of a down year in 2025.

54. Max Klare, TE, Ohio State

Max Klare profiles as an impact starter at tight end for years in the NFL, as he's one of the rare collegiate tight end prospects who has displayed upside as a blocker and a receiver. Typically, a tight end coming into the NFL only excels at one of the two, but Klare could be an ideal long-term replacement for Dallas Goedert.

68. Kamari Ramsey, S, USC

Kamari Ramsey is a defensive back who can do a bit of everything, which is another staple of a Fangio defense. We have seen GM Howie Roseman aggressively address needs like this in previous offseasons, so it would not be much of a surprise if the Eagles again showed this aggression on the backend of the defense.

98. Kaytron Allen, RB, Penn State

Saquon Barkley is not young anymore by running back standards, so it would be wise to begin to shave a bit of work off his load to preserve his body for late-season pushes.

The Eagles could form a Penn State backfield and snag Kaytron Allen at pick 98. Easing Allen into the NFL in a shared backfield with Barkley could also benefit the rookie when the Eagles end up moving on from the 2,000-yard rusher from 2024.

122. Anthony Lucas, DL, USC

Anthony Lucas doesn't have the raw statistical production, but he addresses a need for the present and long term, and at 6-5 and 285 pounds, his size is ideal for a potential future as a defensive end.

137. Jude Bowry, OT, Boston College

The Eagles don't really have to panic now with Johnson returning for another season. Jude Bowry has played both left and right tackle in college and could be a fun developmental project for the Eagles.

Johnson isn't going to play forever, but his returning for another year also allows Philly some runway to look for a replacement.

151. Chris McClellan, DT, Missouri

Continuing to address the trenches, in typical Roseman fashion, the Eagles snag Chris McClellan from Missouri. McClellan had six sacks as a 6-4, 323-pound defensive tackle. The size alone is worth investing in.

179. Matt Gulbin, OC, Michigan State

Philly finishes this mock draft with some offensive line depth, taking Matt Gulbin from Michigan State. With the news that the Eagles will have their franchise right tackle back for another season, the offseason focus shifts just a bit, but in a good way.
