10 Eagles who need an impressive performance during Philadelphia's second preseason game

Every Eagles player would like to produce a better showing during the second preseason game, even if they played well during the first, but here are ten guys who really need better outings.

When the Eagles unveil their 53-man roster, expect a few surprises with the depth chart's construction.

The Eagles' defense features undrafted guys, veterans looking for one more chance, and familiar faces who may be in danger of drifting into anonymity. You'll find players that belong in each category if you watch closely in Week 2 of the preseason.

6. Christian Elliss, linebacker

Christian Elliss has been on our radars all offseason, and rightfully so. Clearly ahead of guys like Kyron Johnson now, he has impressed with hard work and some playmaking ability. He still isn't assured of a roster spot though.

New additions at linebacker have created some competition, and while Elliss has proven his value on special teams, it would be nice to see him flash during in-game action to improve his chances.

7. Josiah Scott, cornerback

Josiah Scott has long been forgiven for some rough showings at slot corner in Avonte Maddox's absence last season. Philly seems content with keeping Zech McPhearson in their deck of cards though. Simply put, it's time for the rubber to meet the road. Time's ticking for Mr. Scott now.

8. Myles Jack, linebacker

You can place both Myles Jack and Zach Cunningham's names here. They were added late, asked to play catch up, and rushed onto the field for the first preseason game. That's life in the NFL though.

With some more time with the organization and a warm-up game under their belt now, the hope is they'll look better versus Cleveland because they didn't do anything memorable versus Baltimore.
