Philadelphia's secondary has its foundation and building blocks.

We've questioned the Eagles secondary a lot recently. They do, however, have some building blocks for the future.

Many of the young guys have 'boom or bust' potential, but if they boom, the light show will rival any pyrotechnic display that has ever made you sit back in awe.

7. Kelee Ringo, cornerback

Never have we seen someone cheat by committing a pass interference penalty AND by grabbing someone's facemask AND manage to give up a first-down reception anyway. Well... We never saw it until Kelee Ringo did it.

Another of Philly's Dawgs, Philly is excited about Ringo's potential. The questions are about whether or not he can live up to it.

8. Sydney Brown, safety

Sydney Brown can lay the lumber with the best of them. Now, if he can successfully master the other nuances of playing the safety position, the Birds may have a star and fan favorite on their hands for years to come.

9. Eli Ricks, cornerback

Once upon a time, not too long ago, Eli Ricks scored on a pick-six in a preseason game, and most of the Eagles' fan base went bananas.

Here's the thing. We'd now like to see him make that type of impact during games that affect the win-loss total. There's something here. With some coaching, he could be special.

10. Josh Jobe, cornerback

Josh Jobe is a potential-heavy backup at the outside cornerback position. He also plays well on special teams.

To become even more valuable, we need to see him flex those muscles more when forced on the field and asked to play coverage. 2024 will be year three. Can he take the next step and begin to establish himself?

11. Isaiah Rodgers, cornerback

The Eagles liked Isaiah Rodgers so much that they acquired him knowing that he'd be on the Reserve/Suspended by Commissioner list and wouldn't be available until next season.

We don't know about you, but to us, it sounds like he'll be given every opportunity to make the roster. Here's a bonus. He's also a very good returner.

Burning questions

Will an off-year by James Bradberry make the Eagles explore a trade market? Will anyone be willing to take on his salary? Will he back? From where we're sitting, all things are possible.
