The Eagles need to retool this roster regardless of how this season ends.

Pick those chins up everybody! We know it's hard to be positive right now, but we have to be. Sure, the Philadelphia Eagles have lost two straight games. They have looked downright awful while doing so. Still, four games remain. All are winnable which would mean the Birds finish the regular season with a 14-3 record. Isn't that where we thought they'd be in the first place?

Some are saying this team will go one-and-done during the postseason. It's too early to tell. We won't know that until it happens (or it doesn't). Still, regardless of how it ends, changes must be made during the offseason. Here are some of the areas where leadership might start. These guys are officially on much warmer seats.

1. Bradley Roby, slot cornerback

We all owe Bradley Roby an apology. We put too much pressure on him. On top of that, he wasn't supposed to be here anyway.

The Eagles expected Avonte Maddox to be their starting slot cornerback. He was hurt during Week 2's game. Zech McPhearson was supposed to be Maddox's backup. We lost him way back in the preseason.

No one behind Roby is good enough to compete for his job, so in that regard, he's safe for now, Change will come this offseason however, and we can promise you he won't be back.

Place Roby's name on a list of possible roster subtractions this offseason. Place these other Eagles there as well. Forgive us if we lose some of our positivity.
