5 mistakes the Eagles can ill afford to make during the 2024 NFL offseason

We don't know how Philly will fix this, but that won't stop us from mentioning everything we'd rather not see them do this offseason.

Philly would make a massive mistake by failing to find a workhorse running back.

'Run the ball'. Three words... Those are three words we heard for the entirety of the 2023-2024 NFL season. Sometimes the requests were honored. Sometimes, they weren't. Let's take a walk down memory lane.

Boston Scott and Rashaad Penny were ignored. Kenneth Gainwell frustrated us. D'Andre Swift was seemingly underutilized. Then again, Philly may have thought they'd break him by overworking him. That's a theory that could carry some credence.

Philly tried to remedy their sometimes stagnant running game by throwing Jalen Hurts into harm's way. Yeah, we're sick of seeing that. You saw how much this guy makes now, right?

Goal number one won't be finding a true workhorse running back in 2024, but the Birds have to place that on their to-do list. Jalen's dealt with a lot of injuries already. Philly must protect its most valuable asset.
