7 Eagles players who won't be in Philadelphia by Week 1, 2024
The winds of change will again blow through Eagles headquarters during the 2024 offseason.
Is this what we have come to? At the time of this story's release, the Philadelphia Eagles still have a regular season game and at least one playoff game remaining on their 2023-2024 campaign. Why is it that we're discussing offseason stuff then? Have we grown weary? Are we simply doing our due diligence and being proactive in our analysis? The truth is it may be safe to assume both theories are accurate.
There's hope the current iteration of our Eagles can flip the switch like the Birds of another flock, the 2012-2013 Baltimore Ravens. If you remember, they didn't look too hot down the stretch either.
Regardless of when it ends, it will end at some point. Then, we'll dive headfirst into offseason discussions like roster facelifts.
No, that isn't true. Those discussions have already begun, and many Eagles have played their way out of favor. It seems a safe bet to assume we can pinpoint guys who won't be back next season.
Goodbye and good riddance?: Quez Watkins
Quez Watkins has gone from a sixth-round draft choice to become the only remaining member of a trio of wide receivers the Eagles drafted in 2020. That trio was headlined by Jalen Reagor.
These days, despite being given every opportunity to succeed, Quez has fallen out of favor. He's no longer earning meaningful snaps, and it's safe to assume that, when extensions are handed out during the 2024 offseason, he won't be receiving one.
Here are a few other names to highlight as well.
