It normally isn't the tidal wave that does the most damage. It's the constant drippage from the faucet. This may be the worst parallel we ever draw, but A.J. Brown's X account is like that annoying dripping sound... Drip... Drip... Drip... Wouldn't you know it? The Philadelphia Eagles star logged into his X account, and what followed was a few hours of drama, even if said drama was minimal.

Stop us if you have heard this before.

Before we proceed any further, let's settle something before another word is read or typed. We're siding with A.J. on this one.

Sure, holding a mini-presser at your locker to put out a fire you, in essence, helped create is a bit much, but we love the guy. He's, at times, a slave to his emotions, and that's okay. Aren't we all?

You can't praise him for playing with fire and then condemn him for being too fiery. That being said, we repeat. This time, we're siding with Number 11.

A.J. Brown changes his profile pic on X, and much of social media goes bananas.

Yes, you read that correctly. Don't restart your phones. Don't adjust the resolution on your tablets and laptops, the latest mini-war between A.J. and X trolls stems from 11's decision to change his profile picture on the platform formerly known as Twitter.

As you might imagine, that didn't go unnoticed.

JAKIB Sports wasn't alone in their recognition of what happened. The trolls found their way into a few comment sections. A.J. would later explain his thought process.

TB12 (Tom Brady) is my favorite player ever. I (watched) the dynasty and it brought back some memories from my childhood. Go look up what he did in 2015 when he was doubted/ disrespected. Yeah, I see the disrespect. Motivated … yes. That’s itI Did not think changing my pfp to the greatest
QB ever would cause controversy.…"

He'd later respond to a fan in the comments:
"I don't live by the world rules... He’s retired and is the best person to touch a football. It’s not that serious."

With all due respect (because, again, we love the guy), we sit on the other side here. It's social media. It's a cesspool for anonymous threats and drama. You're A.J. Brown... How did you allow yourself to believe this wouldn't cause a stir?

Here's the best part, this wouldn't be the last we'd hear of the news tying the Eagles and Patriots on Thursday...

The Eagles reportedly shut down trade inquiries from the Patriots involving A.J. Brown.

From drama on X to more interesting reports, here's something else you may have missed if you have enjoyed the warm weather. The New England Patriots reportedly called Philly to inquire about a trade.

Per Albert Breer:
“Philadelphia has gotten inquiries on A.J. Brown. They have shut them all down and told other teams that he is not available.”

That settles that. And, now back to our regularly scheduled program. When is the NFL Draft again?
