AJ Brown, Seth Joyner quotes you might've missed should motivate Eagles after Jets loss

The Eagles won their first five games, and everyone was complaining. How do you think a loss has gone over?

Leadership... That's what is needed now. The Philadelphia Eagles won the first five games of the current regular season, and if you paid attention while this was going on, you might have been inclined to believe that they were a game or two under .500. You can only imagine what's been said now that they have actually lost one.

Hey. what can we say? Terms like 'Negadelphia' are thrown around for a reason, and the City of Brotherly Love earned its reputation for being one of the toughest sports towns to play in. Just go and read some of what's being said about the Philadelphia 76ers.

Here's the thing about Philly though. Football is this town's favorite game. Eagles news trumps just about anything, so when the Birds lose, it's almost as if the sun didn't rise. There has also been a ton of discussion about what's being said by players both current and former.

A.J. Brown's post-game comments and a Monday morning discussion featuring Seth Joyner might be all it takes to get the Eagles back on the winning trail.

As smoke often leads us to fire, Eagles losses will similarly lead us to the wrath of former linebacker/current JAKIB Media mainstay Seth Joyner. He recently hung out with 94 WIP-FM's Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie on The Morning Show. Seth's reputation precedes him. You probably already know how that turned out.

"I was kind of even keel on the postgame (show) last night, but I woke up this morning really pissed off... When you hold an offense to 244 yards, five sacks, you really can't blame the defensive side of the football... This falls squarely on the shoulders of the offensive side."

He continued....

"I'm not going to put it all on Jalen Hurts, but I am going to put a large part of it (on him) because when the coaches calls plays, it is up to the most important and highest-paid player on the field to execute. He did not execute, but I am also going to put a large part of the blame on the coaching staff...You cannot have your quarterback throw the ball 50 times in a football game."

Now, here's the thing. Eagles coaches have never constructed their game plan around what Seth says, nor should they, but he has a point. He isn't say anything about Philly that the Birds aren't saying about themselves.

One of the team captains A.J. Brown offered his theories.

At this point, leaving QB1 Jalen Hurts out of these types of discussions almost seems sacrilegious. Here's what he had to say during his post-game presser.

Yeah... That bounce back is going to be something.

Ahead of the season, many circled Week 7's game versus the Miami Dolphins as one the Birds may have a few headaches in. We were among the bunch. We have since changed our minds.

Philly's coming off of a loss now. They're just as 'pissed off' as Seth Joyner is. They're playing the coming game in kelly green jerseys at Lincoln Financial Field. Call Vegas. Ignore the oddsmakers. The Eagles might win by doble digits.
