Eagles 53-man roster and 16-man practice squad projection following preseason finale

Here are a few guesses on what the Eagles' 53-man roster might look like. Don't be shocked if the names change a few times between now and final roster cuts.

Three preseason games have evaporated. It's time to trim the Eagles' preseason roster to a 53-man game-day version (and a 16-man practice squad).

Yeah... We love the Philadelphia Eagles and everything, but that final preseason game was a tough watch. We may have never said this before, but it feels like an appropriate time to say this. Those were three hours of our lives that we're never going to get back again. Here's what is most important though. It's time to get down to business. More important matters are at hand.

The process begins of trimming the training camp roster down to 53 men. An attempt will be made to sneak some of Philly's released players through waivers. They will be added to the 16-man practice squad if the Birds are successful. Here's a guess at how everything will shake out when the smoke clears and the dust settles.

Quarterbacks (3):

Jalen Hurts, Marcus Mariota, Tanner McKee

This won't shock anyone as we have known this for a couple of weeks. Tanner McKee is better than last season's QB3, Ian Book. The former will walk into the regular season in ownership of a job that last year belonged to the latter.
