The sting will probably linger forever, but as days pass, it becomes a little easier to manage those hurt feelings. It's hard to fathom that one of the greatest Philadelphia Eagles teams ever assembled is also one of the most disappointing, but as the final seconds trickled off of the clock in Super Bowl LVII, Birds fans everywhere had the same feeling. Sometimes the best team doesn't win.

If you're old enough to remember other heartbreaking Philadelphia sports moments like Joe Carter's home run in Game 6 of the 1993 World Series or Kawhi Leonard's jumper in Game 7 of the 2019 Eastern Conference Semifinals, you're well aware that this loss will never be forgotten. There's a bright side though.

One day, we'll think about the 2022-2023 Eagles and all of those wonderful moments from a special season and think about a great team fondly.

Eagles Chairman Jeffrey Lurie presents the 2022-2023 Philadelphia Eagles with the NFC Championship Game rings.

Ask any member of last year's Eagles roster, and to a man, they'll all tell you that they'd rather have a ring celebrating their win in the final game of the season than one to commemorate a blowout victory over the San Francisco 49ers two weeks prior. Again, the Birds shouldn't hang their heads though.

Thanks to K'Von Wallace's official Twitter account, we got a look at the hardware. Check out the rings Eagles Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie presented to his team to celebrate Philly's NFC Championship Game win.

The 2022-2023 Philadelphia Eagles seemingly set franchise records at will. They earned the most regular-season wins in franchise history. They notched the second most sacks in league history. We saw MVP-level growth from their quarterback, Jalen Hurts.

Things didn't end in the manner that we hoped it would. Sure, that loss will stick with us forever, but there's no truer fan than a Birds fan. They truly bleed green.

Here's to another season, one where the expectations are high. We'll continue to fill Lincoln Financial Field each and every game day. This time, we get back to the Super Bowl, and we are leaving with the Lombardi Trophy.
