Somewhere, a child is tossing the football around in the backyard, and he's probably dreaming of enjoying a long career in a Philadelphia Eagles jersey like our guy Jason Kelce. We still can't believe it has happened. The G.O.A.T. actually called it a career. Something tells us we'll see him around though.

Who are we kidding? We're certain we'll see him around. Jason Kelce is all we have seen this week. We've seen social media posts. We've seen GIFs and T-shirts. The Birds put together a coupe of nice video tributes

Check them out, and do what we did. We've downloaded them to a hard drive where they'll remain forever.

Don't shed a tear friends. It appears his post-football life is off to a great start.

Eagles news: Jason Kelce heads home to check out a Cavaliers game and finds time to jump through a table.

So, how does one of the greatest Eagles to ever don the jersey spend his first few days after retirement? It's simple. He and his brother Travis Kelce check out an NBA game and the older brother jumps through a table set on fire.

Don't take our word for it. Take a look for yourselves.

New Heights' social media team is right. Jason Kelce's retirement is off to a scorching start. Rest assured, his TV career and induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame will soon follow.

More Eagles news: Zach Ertz signs with the Washington Commanders.

From one Eagles legend to another. Zach Ertz is a shoo-in for the Eagles Hall of Fame. We'll see how the voters feel about his spot in Canton, Ohio. It isn't time to talk about that though. Zach's playing career will continue.

Per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, he's signing with the rival Washington Commanders on a one-year deal. That's not as bad as seeing him sign with the New York Giants or the Dallas Cowboys, but trust us on this one. The news still makes us sick to our stomachs.

Oh well. The NFL is a nomadic profession.
