The holiday season is upon us, and the Philadelphia Eagles are idle on Thanksgiving, for the most part. The NFL's best team has a game to play on Sunday. They're working diligently to prepare while most of our great nation prepares to celebrate with family and friends.

Yes, we realize that Philly just played on Monday night. That's life in the NFL though. Every team must endure a short week at some point.

Three games are scheduled for Thursday. All should intrigue the Birds and their fans for one reason or another. The Buffalo Bills are on the horizon. The Detroit Lions, Dallas Cowboys, Seattle Seahawks, and San Francisco 49ers all work on Turkey Day.

Trust us on this one. This will be a Thanksgiving to remember... for several reasons.

Eagles news: Jason Kelce rides a donkey is an animated special on Thanksgiving Day.

Following the success of A Philly Special Christmas, it was only right that its creators dropped some sort of follow-up. They didn't disappoint. A Philly Special Christmas Special, the follow-up/double vinyl LP, drops via Vera Y Records on December 1st.

Jason Kelce, Jordan Mailata, and Lane Johnson can help you plan some of your Thursday evening too, nine minutes of it anyway. At 8 p.m. EST, a stop-motion animated special will air on A Philly Special Christmas Special's YouTube page.

Watch the finished product below.

This one should be a lot of fun. Jason's younger brother Travis Kelce AND Patti LaBelle will guest star. From what we're hearing, Jason is expected to ride a donkey.

Cool, right?

More Eagles news: Let's discuss the other Eagles Thanksgiving Day Massacre instead.

The Eagles don't play on Thanksgiving often. Heck, after what we witnessed in 2015, that might be a good thing. Just utter the words 'Thanksgiving Day Massacre' to Eagles and Lions fans, and you'll get two varying reactions.

Detroit has actually been on the right side of one of these games twice. The original 'massacre' was a 10-0 win over the Green Bay Packers in 1962, one where Bart Starr was sacked 11 times. When Philly hears the term, they think of 2015.

The Birds lost by a 45-14 margin on that day. With that being said, we offer another Thanksgiving Day memory for your viewing pleasure.

This one was played one year earlier, and it involves another Chip Kelly-led Birds team. Ladies and gentlemen, we present Week 13 of the 2014 NFL season, yet another Thanksgiving Day Massacre. This one went Philly's way.

Yep. That one is still as satisfying as it was the day it happened.
