Eagles news: One more look at Saquon Barkley's first training camp practice
Here's a question. What do you watch on television when you aren't watching the Philadelphia Eagles? Here's why we ask. We were hanging out late. A conversation started about some old TV shows. Next thing you know, we began drawing these parallels between entertainment, television, and sports.
For instance, who remembers Twilight Zone (or, are we showing our age)? It was that weird TV show featuring all of those weird stories. If you're a tad younger and have no idea what we are talking about, think Black Mirror on NetFlix minus the profanity.
The point is this. The first time we heard the Philadelphia Eagles had signed Saquon Barkley and had agreed to pay him $37.7 million over three seasons, we were under the impression we had certainly fallen into an X-File.
Maybe you got used to this faster than we did, but we couldn't shake it. Now, it's seeting in after the interview and watching Hard Knocks. Saquon is actually an Eagle! And, on July 24th, he suited up for his first-ever training camp with the Birds.

Overcast conditions... Humidity... The first Eagles practice session of training camp gave us much to discuss, but we also found reasons to smile.
We've been hearing a lot about Saquon Barkley, whether that be through interviews or what's being shown on Hard Knocks, but there's something about training camp. Upon entry into the NovaCare Complex, there was signage bearing the new Birds' likeness.
Saquon received a warm greeting from fans and media members who were in attendance. He took a handoff from Jalen in warmups. Then, he took another from QB1 during drills. Yep, it's setting in. Saquon is an Eagle. He'll be around for three years.
Check out some of the highlights.
After about 70 minutes, practice wrapped. RB1 took some time to meet with select media members.
A Pro Bowler in 2018 and 2022, the former NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year joins a talented offense. 5.211 rushing yards, 2.100 receiving yards, and 47 total TDs are the result of 74 games with with the Giants. What will he look like now that he's in Philly? We won't to have to wait much longer to see.
