Eagles PFF grades: Philly's highest and lowest graded stars from Week 7's victory over Dolphins
31 points on offense... A stifling performance by the Philadelphia Eagles defense... The nostalgia that comes from seeing those beautiful kelly green jerseys... Philly walked into Week 7's Sunday Night Football game versus the Miami Dolphins. They were favored by less than a touchdown. They wound up winning by two.
Philly's prime-time performance produced both memorable moments and fantastic Fantasy statistics if you're an owner. We all love numbers. We soak up Next Gen stats. We love our Pro Football Focus subscriptions.
Here's how PFF graded the top-rated and lowest-ranked Birds from Week 7's game. Most of this shouldn't surprise you.
The Eagles top performers from Week 7's win over Dolphins per PFF
Philly's stars showed up and showed off in Week 7. Here are the five highest-rated performers from SNF.
1. Darius Slay, cornerback - 90.5
When the Eagles needed a 'Big Play', Darius Slay gave them one. His interception helped halt a drive that the Dolphins could have tied the game on. It also shifted the momentum back in Philly's favor for good.
2. A.J. Brown, wide receiver - 87.4
A.J. Brown tied an NFL record as he has collected 125 yards or more in five straight games. He also reached the end zone once. No Bird ranked higher in Week 7.
3. Haason Reddick, EDGE/linebacker - 86.3
Haason Reddick is a BEAST... Period... Since shedding that cast, he has been on a tear, and frankly, we're loving the heck out of the show he is putting on.
He racked four tackle including two TFLs on Sunday and disrupted so many other plays that he didn't dent the stat sheet on.
4. Jalen Hurts, quarterback - 80.5
Jalen Hurts stacked two passing TDs and reached the end zone once with his legs. He has to take better care of the football, but he's really developing into a star.
5. Dallas Goedert, tight end - 78.7
They didn't go to him often as the game wore on, but they certainly went to him early. Dallas Goedert finished second to A.J. in both receptions (five) and receiving yards. He also scored on a nicely excuted tight end screen pass.
The Eagles' five lowest-rated performers from Week 7 per PFF
6. Sua Opeta, guard - 47.0
After being part of a nice effort versus the L.A. Rams' defensive line, Sua Opeta, versus teams with more talent to worry about, has come back down to Planet Earth. He's a nice reserve piece if you need to buy some time, but if we're being honest, Cam Jurgens can't get back fast enough.
7. Kentavius Street, defensive tackle - 45.1
Kentavius Street barely plays and we forget he's on the team sometimes. He played a mere three snaps on Sunday, so, it's hard to determine whether his grades are too high or too low if we're being honest.
8. Marlon Tuipulotu, defensive tackle - 44.5
Marlon Tuipulotu has been working his way back from injury. He's a good rotational piece when healthy, but like Street, he barely played on Sunday. Four snaps wrapped his night. Give him a grade of incomplete for Week 7.
9. James Bradberry, cornerback - 41.7
Giving up the first-half TD hurts James Bradberry some here. He's an All-Pro corner, so we aren't going to worry about this grade too much.
10. Brandon Graham, defensive end - 41.1
Though we hate too say this, age may be catching up with Brandon Graham finally. That's okay! Seeing him in another jersey seems blasphemous at some point, but here's the thing. As the season wears on, we're certain that he will come up big in big spots when needed.
WORTH MENTIONING
11. Jordan Mailata, left tackle - 78.6
Jordan Mailata continues to impress. He's Philly's highest-rated lineman, the pride of Stoutland University, and someone who is already making us believe that he needs to be an Eagle for life.
12. Jason Kelce, center - 74.4
Well, seeing one of the most beloved Birds of all time in this top five makes us smile. Seeing Jason Kelce literally makes our heart sing. This guy's the G.O.A.T., and it's fun to watch his legend continue.
