Four Eagles are tumbling down the depth chart despite Julio Jones addition to the practice squad

  • Julio Jones certainly isn't what he once was.
  • He has sustained injuries.
  • Philly elected to add him to their practice squad.
  • He still sends ripples through the depth chart.

Here's a serious question. What do you think Quez Watkins and Olamide Zaccheaus are thinking right now?

Olamide Zaccheaus has proven that he can play, but he has been behind Quez on the depth chart all season. He figures to be slotted behind Jones too... maybe.

The only reason that we aren't discussing Quez Watkins as a trade piece right now is that he's injured. Sadly, however, it feels like Philly's best opportunity to trade him and get any value has come and gone.

Olamide Zaccheaus

O.Z. has done what Quez Watkins hasn't. He has made the most of his opportunities when the ball has come his way, but at best, he has been the fourth wideout on the roster.

Philly's acquisition of Jones doesn't change that. Heck... If we're being honest, O.Z. might be ahead of Julio. After all, Olamide has been on the roster all season, and Jones isn't what he once was.

Both O.Z. and Julio are playing on one-year deals. Still, it's safe to assume that Olamide could see his targets decrease now. That limits his chances of extending his time here.

Dishonorable mention: Quez Watkins

Quez Watkins has been given every opportunity to establish himself as a key piece of the Eagles' offense, one that Philly can build around for years to come. Unfortunately for him, he hasn't proven to be dependable in big spots, and now, he's on the injured reserve.
