James Bradberry receives hate mail and dinner invitations from an overly emotional Eagles fan

An emotional Eagles fan takes things a bit too far. Yeah... This was a lot.

There are times when we have seriously had to ask ourselves if Philadelphia Eagles fans are innately passionate or traveling a road that leads to lunacy. Some of you may have already seen the messages James Bradberry received in his inbox. Before we go any further, here's a disclaimer.

As lifelong Birds fans, we own the right to criticize other Birds fans or make wild statements ourselves, we can make said accusations, but if you're an outsider, you can't. Family issues will be handled internally.

We also listened to our better judgment for a while and determined that this would be one of those stories we'd ignore, but after receiving screenshots and DMs from so many concerned Eagles fans, we determined it would be best if we said something. Here's where we are though.

What the heck are you supposed to say about this?

An overly emotional Eagles fan sent James Bradberry hate mail and dinner invitations during Philadelphia's wild overtime win over the Bills.

Trust us when we tell you that, if you missed this one, you didn't miss much. Again, we were going to ignore this, but we were asked our thoughts.

James Bradberry recently shared a pair of direct messages he received during Week 12's game from an Eagles fan who was riding Sunday's emotional roller-coaster (Be warned. The tweet contains some NSFW language). Let's just say the said fan was a bit disrespectful of the 2022 Second-Team All-Pro's play and decided he'd let him know by way of a direct message.

Shortly thereafter, the same fan invited James over for a pizza party. Judging by the time, this seems to have come after James picked off Josh Allen in the second half of Philly's come-from-behind win. shared those DMs by way of social media.

Again... What can you say about this other than to repeat what we said?

There are times when we have to plant our flags and hold each other accountable. Again, we love the Birds, so we can talk to Birds fans like this outsiders can't. Here's how we'll wrap this up because we have already spent too much time on this.

Eagles fans are the best in the world. Being a sports star in Philly is different from being one in any other sports town. We will say this though.

If you're having this difficult of a time with managing your emotions and you're so upset about a football game that you'd take the time to log into a social media account and send a direct message to someone containing a statement you'd never make if that same person was standing in front of you, we'd suggest a few things.

Log out... Take a break from watching the games for a while and rely on others to tell you what happened... Seek counseling...

Sure, James Bradberry can be better in spots. Some may even state that he's taken a slight step backward. If you ask him he'll tell you that, but being a fan shouldn't result in unhealthy dosages of fanaticism and/or being this fanatical. We can be quoted on that. This, friends, is a bit much.
