Matchups and predictions for every Eagles NFC East rival in Week 6 of the 2023 NFL season

  • The Eagles remain undefeated.
  • The Commanders are ruthlessly inconsistent.
  • The Giants are just a group of guys and not a football team.
  • The Cowboys did that thing where they lose in a pathetic fashion.

Chargers offense versus Cowboys defense

The vaunted Dallas defense has only flexed its muscle against really weak teams. In the Cowboys' three wins, they’ve held teams to 10 or fewer points. In those games, they’ve gotten out to a big lead, and then just had to consistently pass rush until the other team virtually conceded.

That’s a good game plan when it works. When it didn’t, however, it REALLY failed. During their two losses, the defense was tattered, shattered, and broken. When they had to stay on the field for a prolonged amount of time, they were taken advantage of. They couldn’t cover, couldn’t pressure, and couldn’t tackle. It was glorious.

The latter seems like the kind of thing that’s going to happen this week. The Chargers have scored over 20 points in all of their games.

The Chargers have a good offense. That’s never been a knock on them. Quarterback Justin Herbert is good. Running back Austin Ekeler might be coming back this week and he’s good. Wide Receiver Keenan Allen is good. Their offensive game plans are good. The Chargers offense, as a whole, is good.

Again, it’s their defense that loses games for them. Hell, they lost a game where they scored 34 points. That loss is on the defense.
