Arizona Cardinals versus New York Giants
There isn't much to say about this game. Before Week 1, we all thought the Cardinals were the worst team on the planet. They responded by hanging around with the Commanders.
On the other side of the coin, everyone bragged about the Giants. They said their quarterback, Daniel Jones, is good now. We were also told tight end Darren Waller is an elite pass catcher and Brian Daboll is a great head coach. The G-Men responded by laying a goose egg against the Cowboys’ defense, giving up 40 points on offense, and doing so in prime time.
This game really comes down to one thing: It would be impossible for the Giants to actually be as bad as they were in Week 1, right?
They cannot possibly be that terrible. If they are any better than that they’ll win this game, but it's going to be a long season for their fans.
One thing working in the Giants' favor is Cardinals safety Budda Baker is currently questionable to play with a hamstring. Perhaps he has checked out. Maybe he is trying to save some wear and tear on his body. We'll see if he eventually finds a new home.
Prediction: Giants -4
This game will be disgusting. Again, the Giants cannot possibly be as bad as they were in Week 1. They’ll bounce back and beat up on a team that they (and everyone) should pulverize.
Once this one wraps, we’ll certainly remember their Week 1 loss and throw it in their fans' faces, but they’ll get back on the winning side of things after beating the worst team in the NFL by double digits.
Good for them. At least they aren't the worst team in the NFL. That's potentially one thing that they can hang their hat on.
