Eight games of the 2023 Philadelphia Eagles football season are behind us. Seven of the Birds' eight games have produced wins. The next step of their journey leads them to a Week 9 showdown with the hated Dallas Cowboys. The questions now are about how high Philly can soar.

Based on record alone, the Eagles are the best team in football. They have a chance to fight their way back to football's biggest game.

The experts are talking. Boy... are they talking. Let's dive into a few of the conversations.

The Eagles take their spot at the top of everyone's power ranking. They pull off a clean sweep.

Power rankings... They're kind of like mock drafts. They don't mean much, but boy are they fun.

Another week of football begins as quickly as another one ends, and the experts seem impressed with the Eagles. Philly sweeps Week 9's power rankings roundup.

ESPN dropped their Week 9 power ranking recently, Philly topped their ranking as well. Here's a taste of what he had to say. Give the full list a look whenever you have a moment.

"Jalen Hurts is coming off arguably his best performance of the season in which he completed 76.3% of his throws and tossed four touchdown passes to push the Eagles past the Washington Commanders. It hasn't been the smoothest of rides to this point -- he is playing through left knee pain and has thrown eight interceptions already on the year after being picked off just six times last season. But he has made a number of dazzling plays and tends to come up big in crucial moments, guiding the Eagles to the best record in football."

ESPN's full top ten is as follows:
1. Philadelphia Eagles
2. Miami Dolphins
3. Kansas City Chiefs
4. Baltimore Ravens
5. Dallas Cowboys
6. Jacksonville Jaguars
7. San Francisco 49ers
8. Detroit Lions
9. Buffalo Bills
10. Seattle Seahawks

Week 9 is upon us. It begins with a Thursday night game featuring the Tennessee Titans and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Yuck!

If you can stomach that one enough to give it a watch, have at it. Something tells us that most of you are more excited about that Eagles versus Cowboys clash on Sunday evening.

Dallas has taken four of the past five meetings. Philly is favored in this one, however. DraftKings favored the Birds by three points on Tuesday. A win would give the Eagles a stranglehold on the NFC ahead of their Week 10 bye.
