The Philadelphia Eagles are playing on Monday, and normally that would mean we get a stress-free Sunday. That’s not the case anymore.

Last week we saw every team in the NFC East lose their games. That means the Eagles didn’t lose any ground in the race for the NFC East's crown, but they sure as hell didn’t gain any either.

The Dallas Cowboys got whomped by the Buffalo Bills, the Washington Commanders tanked their way to a loss versus the Los Angeles Rams, and the New York Giants got whomped by the New Orleans Saints. Here we go! Let's talk about Week 16.

Previewing the Eagles divisional rivals’ games in Week 16 of the NFL season

The standings from last week didn’t change. The Eagles can still win the NFC East by winning out.

Cowboys

10-4

Eagles

10-4

Giants

5-9

Commanders

4-10

As you know, the Eagles and Giants meet on Christmas. With that being said, let's talk about those games featuring the Cowboys and Commanders.

The New York Jets vs. The Washington Commanders

The New York Jets have the worst offense in the NFL. The Washington Commanders have the worst defense in the NFL. You know the whole ‘unstoppable force meets an immovable object’ thing? Well, this is ‘stoppable force meets the movable-est object’ and it’s going to be hilarious.

Prediction: Jets +3

The Commanders are actively tanking and they’re doing it in a world-class fashion. A sequence of plays in Week 15 showed exactly that, and it was a masterclass. Click here to view.

Ron Rivera doesn’t know how to be a good coach, but he sure as hell knows how to be a bad coach. When he sets his mind to something, he gets it done. On the other side of the field, Robert Saleh is coaching for pride.

This game isn’t about how the Jets will win, it’s about how the Commanders will force themselves to lose. They’re currently on track to have the fourth overall pick in the 2024 draft, and it’s hard to imagine they’ll go any higher with how things have been going.

The Miami Dolphins vs. the Dallas Cowboys

One of these teams is going to prove that they’re frauds. The Dolphins still haven’t beaten a team with a winning record, and the Cowboys have only beaten one team with a winning record. IT’S WEEK 16, how is that possible?

Prediction: Dolphins -1.5

How can you pick anything else? What more evidence do you need that the Cowboys are a violently different team when they’re not playing at home?

Last week, Tyreek Hill sat out in the Dolphins game versus the Jets. The running theory is that he did that so he could be fully healthy for a game that the Dolphins have a chance of losing. That’s great for us. He can burn anyone, and he’ll have a blast cooking DaRon Bland.

The Cowboys should be sent to federal prison for having exposed themselves to the whole world last week. Their run defense is entirely laughable. That same thing should happen this week because the Dolphins are running the ball better than every other team this year. It should be a gut check for the Cowboys, but that gut check is going to come back negative.
