Saquon Barkley shined in his Eagles debut, and as you might imagine, everyone noticed and had something to say about it.

Social media gets a bad rap sometimes, and if we're being honest, there are times where it damn well ought to. The contents of its presentation, at times, border on bullying. We can't tell you how many times we received anonymous threats simply because they don't like something we said about the Philadelphia Eagles. It's enough to make you ignore the comment section.

And, trust us on this one. That's exactly what we do.

We've mentioned this before, but there are also times we love the social arena. We've reconnected with friends and family. We've found inspiration and pick-me-ups to laugh when days make us feel we need one.

Something tells us, after Friday, the Eagles shared a few laughs on the flight home, and the New York Giants are having a rough Saturday morning.

An epic Giants troll job that began on Friday has carried over into Saturday.

The story is well-known. The New York Giants allowed their best (and sometimes lone) offensive weapon out of the building. He landed with a rival. Both fans and legends have had something to say about it.

Tiki Barber was among those who bashed Barkley on his way out. Later on, he extended peace offerings stating he was upset because he knew how big of a mistake New York had made.

Tiki was right.

Some wondered, following a Giants tenure that saw its fair share of injuries, if Saquon had much left in the tank. Was he a shell of himself or did he simply need a change and a new opportunity?

Well. let's just say 'So far, so good'. Saquon didn't just enjoy a phenomenal showing. His Eagles debut was one of the two best we have seen since the NFL merger.

As you might imagine, social media has been both complimentary to Barkley and unkind to the Giants following a Week 1 Eagles win in Brazil.

Dude notched 109 yards on 24 carries. He added another 23 yards on two receptions. He scored three TDs. The NFL regular season is one heck of a grind. Sometimes, it's long, but we expect Big Blue to regret this decision througout the campaign.
