Obvious Eagles candidates for following Kevin Byard out of the door in free agency

Kevin Byard won't be the only Eagles star that exits this offseason. Many that follow will be familiar faces.

Well, that was fast! Okay, we knew Kevin Byard wouldn't be on the Philadelphia Eagles' 53-man roster. Admittedly, we didn't know he'd be given his walking papers on March 1st. Oh well... We often admonish Philly for dragging their feet. At least we don't have to watch from the sideline while they tarry.

That's the business of this great game folks! It's a nomadic profession. Players come. Players go. Here's what we can promise you. Byard won't be the only member of last year's roster that makes his exit.

We have heard Zach Cunningham praised by the vice president/general manager Howie Roseman. We all are aware that he has had a working relationship previously with inside linebackers coach Bobby King. Something tells us that Cunningham is going to stick around. He's probably safe.

The other guys on this list won't be as lucky. They figure to follow Kevin Byard out of the door. At the risk of sounding disrespectful, no one's inclusion on this list should shock anyone.

Rashaad Penny, running back

This working relationship seemed like it had a lot of potential. Signed on March 15th, Philly planned to see what Rashaad Penny had left. As it turns out, he didn't have much of anything.

Three in-game appearances... 11 carries... 33 yards rushing... Five yards on a single catch... One first down... That's the extent of what the Eagles gained from having Penny on the roster.

You know what? We've worn this discussion out already. Let's move on before we begin crying.
