DeShon Elliott, safety

Add DeShon Elliott to the list of guys who spent time with Fangio while both were with the Dolphins. Vic used a lot of three-safety alignments this past season, but that and playing next to the great Jevon Holland didn't limit Elliott's production.

DeShon racked up 82 tackles, an interception, and seven PBUs while starting 15 games. He turns 27 years young in April, so there's still room for growth. Still, any interested party might need to fork over more than the $1.77 million that he made in 2023, a deal he outplayed by a wide margin.

Malik Reed, outside linebacker

Malik Reed has played under Fangio in both Denver and Miami with mixed results. He appeared in 45 games with 34 starts over three NFL seasons in the Mile High City and stacked 123 tackles, three forced fumbles, and 15 sacks. He couldn't get on the field in Miami.

Reed inked a one-year deal on March 20th with the Fins. He was released on August 29th and spent some time with the Las Vegas Raiders before returning to Miami as a part of their practice squad on January 10th.

Miami didn't sign him to a futures deal when his practice squad contract expired. That makes him a free agent. Will Philly give him a call? Time will tell.
