2. Wide Receiver

Here is a bold prediction unlike any that you have heard before. DeVonta Smith will make the team, and so will A.J. Brown. Now, how about that for insight? Seriously though. The expectation is that, as always, we're taking about six wide receivers making the team. Add Quez Watkins and Olamide Zaccheaus to the bunch. They'll be okay. That's when we start playing that numbers game again.

We like Greg Ward, but the Eagles don't seem to want him. Britain Covey and Devon Allen are in the mix again. The former made the squad last year and was the designated returner. The latter is a track star who didn't attend OTAs (and we believe the track circuit is where he'll return). Then, there are the rest of the new guys.

Tyrie Cleveland was a seventh-round choice of the Denver Broncos in 2020. He has eight career receptions to his name. Jadon Haselwood and Joseph Ngata are the undrafted rookie free-agent additions. Charleston Rambo is Philadelphia's most recent addition to the position. He and Jalen Hurts were teammates at Oklahoma in 2019. That won't guarantee him anything, but it is an interesting nugget.

You know what? When you look at things from that lens, adding someone may be wise. A.J. and DeVonta are spectacular, but if, Heaven forbid, they go down with an injury, there's a tremendous drop-off to the third and fourth-best guys on the roster.
