1. Cornerback

The Philadelphia Eagles competition at cornerback might wind up being must-see television. Darius Slay will start outside. James Bradberry will join him on the opposite end of the formation. Avonte Maddox is the starting slot cornerback. Rookie Kelee Ringo is in. There are 11 listed cornerbacks on Philly's 90-man roster that they will carry into training camp. There is also Tristin McCollum. He is listed as a 'defensive back'.

Hold on for a second! Can he play safety? Anyway, we digress. Let's play that numbers game one more time. Slay, Bradberry, Maddox, and Ringo are locks. Here's what we're thinking about everyone else.

Zech McPhearson and Josiah Scott will compete for the backup slot corner role. Josh Jobe joined Blankenship as one of three undrafted rookies that made the team a season ago. You can't forget about him.

2022 undrafted rookie free agent Mario Goodrich is in the mix again. So are 2023 UDFAs Eli Ricks and Mekhi Garner. Greedy Williams was one of Philly's offseason acquisitions this past March. No one should be shocked if he makes the team. No one should be surprised if he doesn't.

That's how thin the line is for making this team and being left off of the 53-man roster. Fasten those seatbelts, everyone. It's going to be quite the summer, one that will be fun to watch.
