Recent Eagles additions we can safely call busts after the 2023 season

We're talking veterans, young guys, and UDFAs. No one's safe. There are several Eagles we're over already.

Bradley Roby, cornerback

The further we get from the final whistle of the Wild Card Round loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the more we remember moments that felt like a blur when they were happening. What in the heck did we sign Bradley Roby for again?

Oh yeah... That's right... Avonte Maddox and Zech McPhearson both got hurt, and Philly needed to add a slot cornerback. Roby was a former first-rounder. Let's just say Roby won't be back.

He wasn't that bad. Unfortunately, he wasn't that good either. Maybe we put too much on his plate, but hey that's life in the NFL. Philly needed this addition to work out, and sadly, it didn't.

Shaquille Leonard, linebacker

Oh yes... The Shaquille Leonard signing. This one gave birth to hope, skepticism, and worry. Unfortunately, our worst fears were confirmed.

We ask two questions. What if Shaq isn't the guy we remembered in Indianapolis with the Colts? Hec, what if he is?

Philly added the three-time First-Team All-Pro with hope there was something left. They needed reinforcements at linebacker. They wanted to keep him off the Dallas Cowboys roster.

This one sizzled for a while, but the fizzle arrived even more swiftly. The experiment didn't work, and it's a shame. Can you imagine where we'd be if it had?
