So, how did those guys that many wanted on the Eagles roster perform?

Sometimes, it's a good thing when we don't get what we want. Remember when Philadelphia Eagles fans wanted Ricky Williams and they got Donovan McNabb instead? How did that work out? Yep, that's what we thought!

Sure, there are times when fans get it right and our favorite teams screw things up. Philly's decision to take Jalen Reagor over Justin Jefferson qualifies. There are also those times when the organization proves the doubters wrong. During that same NFL Draft in 2020, the Birds took a quarterback in Round 2. Perhaps you have heard the story. That was one of the best team decisions of the past decade.

As Week 1 draws to a close, Philly is heading home as the winners of their first test, a road date versus the New England Patriots. It was ugly and a tough watch, but that's what you get when you play a team coached by Bill Belichick. Thankfully, Philly will make adjustments after a win. 25-20 was the final score.

During the early window, we took some time to check out some of those guys that Eagles fans and the media fawned over in the past. We also watched the short versions of some of the late games to check out a few more. Oh, and just in case you're interested, three former Eagles coordinators put in a few hours as head coaches.

Consider this our attempt to cure some of you of your buyer's remorse. Here's a look at how some of those guys performed.
