Updated Eagles projected depth chart after the 2024 NFL Draft
Well, that was fun... After reading mock drafts that made it seem impossible to fathom any scenario where the Philadelphia Eagles landed Quinyon Mitchell, they did exactly that, and they didn't have to trade up in Round 1 to make it happen. And, that was only night one of the 2024 NFL Draft.
In Round 2, Cooper DeJean was the prize. Wait! How did they get both of those guys? What followed was trades and shrewd maneuvering. In total, nine new Birds were added. elite athletes on both sides of the ball.
Round 1 (22) - Quinyon Mitchell, cornerback, Toledo
Round 2 (40) - Cooper DeJean, defensive back, Iowa
Round 3 (94) - Jalyx Hunt, EDGE, Houston Christian
Round 4 (127) - Will Shipley, running back, Clemson
Round 5 (152) - Ainias Smith, wide receiver, Texas A&M
Round 5 (155) - Jeremiah Trotter Jr, linebacker, Clemson
Round 5 (172) - Trevor Keegan, guard, Michigan
Round 6 (185) - Johnny Wilson, wide receiver, Florida State
Round 6 (190) - Dylan McMahon, offensive lineman, NC State
You know what comes next, right? Of course we can't help ourselves. Those looking for an updated roster outlook will find that below.
The Eagles 2024 roster is stacked after the addition of nine new draft picks.
Two defensive backs... One very talented running back... Two wide receivers... A linebacker... An edge risher... Two offensive linemen. It's hard to argue with the thinking or criticize this class.

Much will be determined as we move through Phase 2 of the offseason workout and push toward training camp and the preseason, but we can rest easy. On paper, the Eagles are still the NFC East's best team on paper. You can thank a bad Dallas Cowboys draft, in part, for that.
Did you see how bad of a job they did? It was awesome. Check that roster out when you can. It will definitely add some spice to your weekend.
