The voice of an angel... The strength of an ox... The physique of a household refrigerator... Jordan Mailata has come a long way since the Philadelphia Eagles selected him with the 233rd selection during Round 7 of the 2018 NFL Draft.
A former rugby star, Jordan didn't know how to put his helmet on when he arrived at the NovaCare Complex, and even once he figured that out, he still had his buddy Landon Dickerson help him snap his chinstrap at times.
Then, we found out he could sing! He got married. Then he sang at his wedding reception. He sang on a couple of Christmas albums with the legends, Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson, and if that isn't enough, he hit a home run on FOX's highly popular show, The Masked Singer.
Well damn... What can't he do? Oh, and did we mention he's an NFL All-Pro now?
Jordan Mailata earns a spot on the Associated Press's All-Pro Team along with some of his deserving teammates.
As good as Jordan Mailata has been, he has yet to be voted onto the NFL's Pro Bowl roster. There's truly no excuse for the oversight. These past two seasons, he should have been a shoo-in.
Thankfully, the Associated Press understands what they are looking at. Jordan Mailata earned a spot on their All-Pro Team as a member of the second unit. He is joined there by teammates Jalen Carter, Lane Johnson, and A.J. Brown. The hits kept on coming though.
Saquon Barkley and linebacker Zack Baun were voted in as members of the First Team. That makes us smile. We were pulling for Baun. This marks the first time Jordan, Zack, Jalen, and Saquon have been named as All-Pros.
Mekhi Becton, Cam Jurgens, Cooper DeJean, Nakobe Dean, Quinyon Mitchell, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, and Kelee Ringo also received votes. Consider this our tip of the cap. Their individual success has also resulted in a successful season already.
Now, it's time to seal the deal in the playoffs.
