Saquon Barkley invents completely new way to embarrass Jaguars defenders
While hanging out on Saturday morning and taking in the most recent ESPN College GameDay broadcast ahead of the Ohio State vs. Penn State game, we saw a treat. Jason Kelce made an appearance. That was cool. The G.O.A.T. makes everything better. We learned something though. The beloved Philadelphia Eagles legend is human.
Who knew? Jason Kelce can't kick field goals. Hey, no one's perfect, right? Oh well... It took a while, but we finally found Superman's kryptonite.
Saquon Barkley has no weakness. It's official. He's an alien. We just wirtnessed the most spectacular 14-yard gain in the history of football.
You MUST watch this Saquon Barkley run. It's phenomenal.
One of the most encouraging things about Saquon Barkley's addition to the Eagles' roster this offseason was the knowledge that he'd be running behind Philly's offensive line. That has led to breathtaking plays time and time again. See his breathtaking run in New Orleans for evidence.
But, with just over 14 minutes remaining in the second quarter, he was left to his own devices, and, because he's so good, it didn't matter.
They don't hand out points for decent gains for scrimmage, nor do they offer Fantasy or style points for creativity. If they did however, this would be one worth rewarding.
Saquon continues to hit all of the buttons on the PlayStation controller, the 'L1' button, the 'X', and everything else. The Jacksonville Jaguars don't need much help to be embarrassing, but credit Mr. Barkley for the assist. His Nittany Lions lost to the Buckeyes, but if they'd have had one or two Saquon clones, they would have won by two scores.
He helped Philly break their season-long scoring jinx in the first quarter. His brilliant season continues. This is a season we expect to end with postseason accolades.
