A lot of the talk about the Philadelphia Eagles this season centers on the offensive line's struggles to stay healthy and play consistently.

Their play against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 15 was one of the best from the unit all year. They allowed just one quarterback hit and one sack of Jalen Hurts. Philly ran for 183 yards and one touchdown as they shut out the Raiders 31-0.

The man leading the way in rushing with 78 yards and one touchdown, Saquon Barkley, complimented the line for opening up holes for him and the team despite not having any 20+-yard runs. Barkley backed his offensive line, believing they still have it.

"I just felt like we had a mindset and we stuck to it," Barkley said via SportsRadio 94 WIP. "We didn't let the defense dictate what we do. You can feel it. I still believe we have a great offensive line. I know we have a great offensive line."

Eagles' offensive line showed signs of life in win over Raiders

The Eagles' offensive line just bullied the Raiders all game long. They allowed only four quarterback pressures, with right tackle Fred Johnson, replacing the injured Lane Johnson, allowing the only sack of the game.

Left tackle Jordan Mailata was the star on the line for the Eagles, as on 18 pass blocks, he allowed nothing to get past him. No one on the line allowed more than two pressures in the win.

It was the first time in quite some time that they weren't penalized often and were able to communicate well together. The team had only three penalties for 35 yards, so there was a lot more discipline in the unit.

There was good news before the game: Lane Johnson is expected to practice this week, with the hope that he can play in the Washington Commanders game in Week 16 or the Buffalo Bills game in Week 17. Either way, it would be massive for Johnson to come back and help out the offensive line after allowing zero sacks all season from that position.

The Raiders game was a good sign from the offensive line that they are getting better, but more work remains. Once Johnson is back from injury, they will be firing on all cylinders again.
