Remember that saying about there being no need to fix something if it isn't broken? Now, we'll be honest. You guys weren't seeing us on social media for a while because we took a break a month or so after the Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl. We were here for the NFL Combine and the first few weeks of the new league year, so the break wasn't long. It was only a few days at the beginning of April, but we feel we returned to chaos.
94 WIP-FM is debating drafting a wide receiver in Round 1, and some are even discussing a safety. Where did all of this come from? Truth be told, we kind of like Howie Roseman's approach and business model.
Offensive lineman... Defensive lineman... That's typically what the Birds seek in Round 1, and though there have been timely exceptions that were the right choices in their respective drafts (DeVonta Smith, Quinyon Mitchell), we feel addressing the trenches should be priority number one come the end of this month.

A change in the Eagles' draft strategy?
Yeah, it's been an interesting week. It's cool. We could talk ball all day. We just weren't ready for some of what we've been hearing.
Philly has never drafted a safety in the first round of any NFL Draft, but we found ourselves locked into a conversation between NBC Sports' John Clark and NFL Network's Charles Davis.
South Carolina Gamecocks safety Nick Emmanwori to the Birds with the 32nd selection? Malaki Starks to Philly as another option? Davis seems to think it's the best idea for Round 1's selection.
We repeat what we said earlier. 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it'. We'd rather Philly address other needs early and add depth to the safety position later.
Eagles will reportedly host a Penn State safety for a Top 30 visit.
Per a report by NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, the Eagles are hosting Penn State safety Jaylen Reed on a Top 30 visit. His teammate Abdul Carter will visit the rival New York Giants.
Visits:

-- UNC RB Omarion Hampton is visiting the #Giants today.
-- #Texas WR Isaiah Bond was with the #Packers yesterday and is at the #Falcons (local) tomorrow.
-- Penn St. S Jaylen Reed is visiting the #Eagles today.
-- Penn St edge Abdul Carter is at the #Giants today.
Reed is a native of Detroit, Michigan and was named a Second-team All-Big Ten mention after the most recent college football season.
The former Nittany Lion stands at six feet tall and weighs 211 pounds. In other words, he's an inch shorter than Reed Blankenship but somewhere around eight pounds heavier.
Philly also visited with several cornerbacks, many of whom should be available towards the back-half of the coming draft. That could add credence to the theory that the Eagles plan to address their needs in the secondary later, but no one knows whether that's true. Heck... The Eagles aren't 100% certain about what they plan to do yet.
