Well, if it isn't a player the Philadelphia Eagles are losing, it's a member of general manager Howie Roseman's staff.
It was announced that Eagles vice president of football operations Jeff Scott has departed to join the Atlanta Falcons as their assistant general manager. Falcons general manager Ian Cunningham released a statement about the move, expressing his appreciation to the Eagles for letting Scott join Atlanta.
"First and foremost, this is a relationship business. I want to thank Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles for granting permission to allow Jeff the opportunity to take on this role and advance his career.
We are thrilled to have Jeff become a member of our team. While Jeff and I worked together in Philadelphia for a short period of time, I quickly realized he is a man of integrity, he has a high degree of attention to detail and discipline, while always treating everyone with respect. His values align with ours, as does his mission to help build a team that consistently competes for championships. Jeff brings a breadth of experience across all football operations and a keen eye for talent. We want to welcome Jeff, Rachel, and Alivia to Atlanta."
Eagles lose Jeff Scott to the Atlanta Falcons
Scott started his tenure with the Eagles as senior pro scout during the 2021 season before being promoted to director of football operations for the 2022 and 2023 campaigns. He's been the vice president of football operations over the last two seasons.
It's just another reminder that everyone wants to pick into the Eagles franchise for help. Roseman has been the gold standard for building a championship roster, and since then, every team has been looking at how to replicate that kind of success.
