The Philadelphia Eagles have finally reached their first game week of the 2026 season... even if it is just the preseason and training camp for the franchise.

In Week 1 of the preseason, the Eagles are traveling to Baltimore to play the Ravens in a Saturday night clash. These two teams last met during the Eagles' 2024 Super Bowl run late in the season, when Philly won a close match on the road 24-19.

While the stakes may not be as high, plenty of players will be putting themselves on the line to win a job. That means a few Eagles players need to have a strong week of practice before entering that Ravens game.

Eagles players that need a strong week of practice before Ravens preseason game

Johnny Wilson, WR

Wilson isn't necessarily having a bad training camp, but everyone seems to be creating more highlight plays than he is. Elijah Moore and Darius Cooper are outpacing Wilson in training camp and might be more locks to make the team than Wilson. It's time for the lengthy wide receiver to step up and make some plays to get himself more in the conversation.

Byron Young, DT

Young felt like a lock to make the roster based on his play in Jalen Carter's place last year. All of a sudden, Ty Robinson is impressing and even getting first-team reps. That should be a sign that the young, promising defensive tackle needs to step up and show the Eagles again why they trusted him with more reps than Robinson last year.

Micah Morris, OG

This could apply to any backup offensive lineman on the Eagles, but Morris is a draft pick this year, so there is some pressure on him. He got hurt in camp, but has since returned. If Morris wants more playing time, he needs to have a stronger week of camp.

Kelee Ringo, CB

Each day, Ringo seems to be losing his spot on the roster, with other cornerbacks like Jonathan Jones and Mac McWilliams playing better than him. Special teams may not be able to save Ringo from getting cut this season. That puts more pressure on him to get his act together and show that he can use his 6-foot-4 height to shut down wide receivers.

Will Shipley, RB

A drop pass here and there for Shipley is not a great look for a backup running back. His saving grace right now is that Elijah Mitchell and Dameon Pierce got hurt in practice late last week. Shipley might still end up being the third back on the depth chart, but he really needs to improve his play and prove himself to be a threat in the passing game as well as a returner on special teams.
