A.J. Brown is finally off the roster for the Philadelphia Eagles with his massive trade to the New England Patriots, leaving the door open to competition to be fiery at training camp with the wide receiver position.

The Eagles made sure to give the wide receiver room plenty of players for depth purposes, as they had signed and drafted four at the position in March and April. Two more receivers have been added in the last week as well.

One question coming out of Philly is who will be starting at receiver in the brand-new Eagles offense. Here's a look at the depth chart rolling into training camp in a few months:

2026 Eagles' WR Depth Chart

Outside WR - DeVonta Smith, Hollywood Brown
Slot WR - Makai Lemon, Elijah Moore
Outside WR - Dontayvion Wicks, Darius Cooper, Johnny Wilson

Smith is the undisputed number one receiver on the roster and will be Jalen Hurts' go-to guy. He has been waiting for this moment for five years, as he finally gets his shot to prove that he is WR1 material.

Lemon will be interesting from the slot as a rookie, but he possesses all the skills to be a top receiver in the NFL. He may not have the speed or height of the elite, but he can do it all and should have a solid first season for the Eagles.

All the receivers after that, though, are kind of a mystery. Wicks should start, since he is the possession receiver for the Eagles and knows Sean Mannion's offense well. Hollywood is going to be in the rotation when the Eagles need a vertical threat, so he could very much split reps with Wicks.

Elijah Moore is going to have to battle for a roster spot between him, Johnny Wilson, and Darius Cooper. Moore is not going to have an easy time, since Wilson is the possession receiver and Cooper has found his footing on special teams.

There's going to be a lot of battles in training camp at wide receiver that may take until the final cuts to get decided. One good thing about this depth chart, though, is that the Eagles are deep at wide receiver, something that hasn't been the case for a very long time, as it has just been the Smith and A.J. Brown show in Philly.
