No quarterback in the NFL is feeling the kind of unnecessary heat that Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is feeling.
People don't care that he's won 69% of his starts, been to the Pro Bowl three times, or has a Super Bowl MVP on his resume. Nobody cared about that this offseason, as Hurts faced all kinds of criticism from everyone who needed to see more out of the franchise quarterback in 2026.
That does leave some questions about what would make this campaign a success for Hurts and get everyone off his back. Here's a look at some key stats that Hurts needs to hit in order to gain the respect of everyone again.
What stats does Jalen Hurts have to hit for the Eagles to be considered a successful 2026 season?
Completion Percentage: 67% or higher
Last season, it was around 64% for the completion percentage, and that was with just six interceptions, which is a bit disappointing. That number needs to rise to at least 67%, which is about where Hurts has been in the past, so it shouldn't be too big a problem. Expect Hurts to get back to doing that in 2026.
Passing Yards: 3,800 or more
Throughout his career, Hurts has never hit 4,000 yards and realistically may never do so, which is okay because that's just not the type of quarterback he is. With that being said, barely getting over 3,000 yards isn't going to cut it in this offense anymore, so Hurts needs to set a new career high and get close to the 4,000-yard mark, but not necessarily have to hit it
Rushing Yards: 500 or more
Hurts is going to get at least eight rushing touchdowns, with more coming from the Tush Push, so no one is worried about that. What Eagles fans want to see is him scrambling or running RPOs more often. Watch for new Eagles offensive coordinator Sean Mannion to keep the ball in Hurts' hands more often for runs, which in turn should result in better success for the offense.

Touchdown to Interception Ratio: 28 Touchdowns to 10 Interceptions
Oddly enough, everyone seems more content with Hurts throwing more interceptions because it means he is taking more shots downfield, as long as he is hitting more than missing. Still, Eagles fans need to see Hurts score more touchdown passes in this new offense, so hitting a career high in passing touchdowns for a second straight year would be good for him.
