Training camp is about a month away for the Philadelphia Eagles, and general manager Howie Roseman has built a deep roster with a ton of talent.
On offense and defense, this Eagles team might be the deepest they have had, with Roseman doing work both through cheap free agent veterans and the draft. This season was all about the offense in the draft, as Roseman got some good talent for the future.
Let's take a look at the five best position groups the Eagles have going into their training camp in 2026.
What are considered the best position groups on the Eagles in 2026?
Cornerbacks
Just having All-Pros Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean are enough to make that case, but the cornerback room did get better in the offseason. Riq Woolen already looks like the Eagles' best free agent signing after a strong OTAs. Jonathan Jones also gives them depth and stability, making things better.
The big questions will be what kind of boost guys like Jakorian Bennett, Mac McWilliams, and Kelee Ringo will give them. If those three play better, the argument could be made that they are the best on the team.
Offensive Line
This group might be getting older, but when healthy, this is still a top-five offensive line in the NFL. Future Hall of Famer Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata might arguably be the best tackle combo in the NFL. Landon Dickerson and Cam Jurgens are reliable Pro Bowlers who just need to stay healthy to play at a high level.
Right guard Tyler Steen wasn't bad in 2025, but still has something to prove to the rest of the NFL. Get Steen to develop well this season, this offensive line can be unstoppable.
Defensive Tackle
Everyone knows about two-time Pro Bowler Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis and how good they are, but have a lot more talent on the defensive line that doesn't get talked about as much as it should. Moro Ojomo is a future NFL star on another team if the Eagles don't bring him back after this season.
Behind those three starters is some solid depth on the line with Bryon Young and Ty Robinson. Seventh-round pick Uar Bernard has a chance to be a monster on this team, depending on how quickly he can learn the NFL and develop. This Eagles defensive line is going to be good for a very long time.
Quarterback
There might be a lot of talk about the quarterbacks' early struggles, but the Eagles still have a very deep room. Jalen Hurts has been a star for years with a Super Bowl title, Super Bowl MVP, and three Pro Bowl selections to his resume.
Andy Dalton and Tanner McKee are both reliable backups who have played at a high level, with Dalton having more experience. Rookie fifth-round pick Cole Payton has athletic ability that could be the next Taysom Hill. Give the Eagles quarterback room some time to learn Sean Mannion's offense, and they should be just fine.

Wide Receiver
Even with A.J. Brown gone, having DeVonta Smith there as the new number-one receiver still makes this group very good. Newcomers Dontayvion Wicks, Hollywood Brown, and rookie Makai Lemon give them the depth and variety of talent this room has not had in a long time.
Other receivers that could make an impact are Elijah Moore, Johnny Wilson, and Darius Cooper. This is the deepest wide receiver room Hurts has ever had, and they are only going to get better, as most of them are young.
