Dave:
Cornerback Justin Gilbert ends up with the Chicago Bears, having proven to be the most consistent and well-rounded cornerback available. This upgrade comes not a moment too soon following the news that Charles “Peanut” Tillman won’t be returning to the team in 2014. It would serve the Bears well to consider a defensive tackle like Minnesota’s Ra’Shede Hageman or even Pittsburgh’s Aaron Donald, but the Bears like the idea of securing their secondary.

Giorgos:
The Chicago Bears have a lot of holes in their defense. They are going to spend their first-round pick to address this issue. Both a cornerback and a defensive tackle makes sense here, but Justin Gilbert of the OSU Cowboys is their safest choice. Gilbert is the best cornerback of this draft right now. He is tall (six-feet high) and extremely fast and also has long arms. He excels in man coverage and can also return kicks. He has some problems in changing direction, but with the right coaching and work, Gilbert can be more than a solid starter.
