Dave:
Mock drafts all over the internet have Pittsburgh DT Aaron Donald landing somewhere in the top fifteen, but if Chicago opts to go elsewhere he’s headed for a free fall. The Saints get the steal of the first round, because while undersized at 6-feet, 284 pounds, Donald makes up for it with incredible technique and a high motor. If the Saints pass on him, I could see Ohio State linebacker Ryan Shazier being the pick.
Giorgos:
Aaron Donald has been climbing up the draft boards like a hot air balloon, but his small frame could make him drop some spots on draft day. This would be great news for the New Orleans Saints, who would love a young and talented player in their defensive line. Donald is an experienced guy that brings pressure from the inside. He is not a natural fit for a 3-4 defensive front, but his strength, his quick first step and his non-stop motor more than make up for that.
