Dave:
The Carolina Panthers are picking at an agonizing spot, especially considering they potentially hold the key to San Francisco’s selection with the next pick. While the Panthers could use a wide receiver (in which case Penn State’s Allen Robinson or Florida State’s Kelvin Benjamin are in play), losing Jordan Gross to retirement forces the team’s hand to take Tennessee offensive tackle Antonio Richardson before another team is able to snag him a few picks later.
Giorgos:
Antonio Richardson is probably the strongest offensive tackle in this draft. He has excellent size and speed and can drive linebackers up the field. His technique is not bad, but he has to stop bending at waist to be a good player in the professional level. The Carolina Panthers will get in Richardson a project similar to what the Eagles got in Lane Johnson, but Richardson is far more experienced. He has great potential –he just has to fix his waist-bending issue.
