Giorgos:

The Kansas City Chiefs lost both Geoff Schwartz and Jon Asamoah in free agency and now need to add premium talent to the interior of the offensive line. Most draftniks consider Xavier Su’a-Filo the best offensive guard in the 2014 NFL draft. He lacks ideal length and needs to become stronger, but other than that he is an experienced lineman with good technique and excellent body control.

Dave:

Giorgos laughed at me on this pick, but I had to go with my gut instinct on Andy Reid’s draft philosophy. Yes, receiver Brandin Cooks made it through Philadelphia’s pick and it’s a clear need for the Chiefs– BUT, the Chiefs did lose two starting guards in free agency. This is the same exact selection he used on guard Danny Watkins in 2011 (sorry, I know it’s a sore spot), and the good news is that Kansas City fans can rest assured knowing that Reid won’t be making the same mistake twice.
